It is like bringing the outdoor elements inside to where it can make a home more pleasant. However, it can be a challenge with knowing how to incorporate it all into a living space. Here are some ideas on how to make your homes atmosphere more nature inspired.

Using the Right Textiles

One of the best things to bring into your home to make it organic is the use of natural textiles. Not only does using sustainable materials make your home have a natural style, it also helps the environment as well. Here are some ways to incorporate organic materials in your house. The first would be an obvious option bringing in wood as a focal piece. For example having wood furniture or wood panel walls. Another is having tiny hints of wood everywhere such as wooden pots, picture frames, baskets, etc. Another choice could be the use of stone. Adding stone flooring, stone backsplash, and stone around the fireplace.

Bringing in Lots of Natural Light

Who knew that something small could change an entire atmosphere. Letting in light from outside lets the space be more warm and inviting. Make sure all windows are clean meaning free of dust and spraying/wiping it down frequently. Having artificial light would be great to have as well. Having lights where you can adjust the brightness will enhance the light rather than taking over. Also having the right window treatments can make a difference as well.

Using the Right Decor

Of course you can’t have an organic space without plants. They make the air in the space more fresh and clean. Something else you could do is the use of softer materials like cotton, linen, and wool. With the materials just listed blankets, pillows, window treatments, etc. can be utilized with them. Bamboo is also a great use of natural materials for rugs, furniture, and window treatments as seen in the picture above. Lastly, adding some hand woven baskets throughout the home for storage. Those are some ideas that could enhance the natural aspects of an organic space.
